Grumpy Dog Candle Co. was founded in 2014 by Karen Dawes and named after her beloved “grumpy” workshop dog, Bailey. While Bailey wasn’t a fan of much, she had the most unforgettable grumpy face and quickly became the inspiration behind the brand.
In 2021, Grumpy Dog Candle Co. was purchased by new owners, Lisa and Suzanne Peasley. As fellow dog lovers with a “grumpy” pup of their own, a Vizsla named Tempe, continuing the Grumpy Dog name felt like the perfect fit.
At Grumpy Dog Candle Co. we repurpose old, discarded glass bottles from various sources into quality, handcrafted soy candles, cocktail glasses, cigar ashtrays, soap dispensers, etc. Our products are upcycled, and there is absolutely NO affiliation, endorsement or warranty from any of the original manufacturers pictured on labels. We give old bottles new life, and create unique, sentimental gifts. It's pretty simple.
